Description and layout of the apartments.
La Torre di Cusano consists of two independent apartments. Because the house is built against a rock, it has a playful layout. A natural stone country house in the middle of nature that can accommodate 12 people. Ideal for 2 families but also a group of friends of course.
A Capaballe
The downstairs house has a terrace with a wood oven in front of the door, where in the past cooking was done daily. Pizza, bread, but also Lasagna and meat dishes, you can prepare everything in this antique wood oven.
Upon entering you will find the slightly raised kitchen on the left and the spacious bathroom with a washing machine on the right. Further in you walk through a large natural stone arch to the left into the dining room. On the right the living room with a nice fireplace.
Along the corridor are 3 bedrooms, each room for 2 people. 2 rooms have a double bed and 1 room has 2 single beds. The apartment is fully equipped and tastefully decorated. The old 2 meter thick walls provide coolness in the summer and protection against the cold in the winter.
A Capamonde
The upstairs house has a nice sitting area right outside the door amidst beautiful lavender, sage, and rosemary plants. Upon entering you enter the wonderfully spacious kitchen with fireplace. A nice place to dine for hours with friends or family. Through a large natural stone arch you enter the spacious living room where you will find the showpiece of the house. An original very large natural stone fireplace. From the living room a beautiful view over the olive grove. On the left of the living room, you reach 2 of the 3 bedrooms, 1 room with a double bed and 1 room with 2 single beds and on the right 1 bedroom and the spacious bathroom with a washing machine. Beautiful views from the bedrooms, even reaching to the Gran Sasso.
At the back of the house is the second wood oven, a larger one that used to be the oven of the whole Contrada. Here all women baked the bread for their family, so this oven was originally for general use. A beautiful ritual. Here you will also find a lovely covered table with room for 6 people and a stone BBQ.
